Umicore expands its ITO production capacity.

After the successful launch of its ITO in Asia in 2003, Umicore is now ready to take a significant market share, especially in China and Taiwan. Due to the continued growth in the flat panel display industry an increasing amount of ITO (indium tin oxide) is consumed as transparent conductive layer in LCD screens and OLED. Umicore will increase its capacity this year to meet the demands of its customers throughout Asia. With its in-house indium production and ITO recycling facilities, Umicore is well positioned to offer to its customers a reliable supply.
